Website hosting, your own domain with HTTPS, and billing in the panel

  • Website hosting: a static site, or an app in Python, Node.js or Java, on its own server. Choose A website at checkout, on the same four plans and prices as bots, seven-day trial included. A new website server comes with a starter site that serves your public folder, so a plain HTML site only needs uploading. Website plans
  • A Website tab on website and bot servers: put a dashboard, vote webhook, API or small site that your bot server runs on your own domain, with HTTPS. Add the domain, add a CNAME and a TXT record where its DNS is managed, and the certificate, its renewal and the routing to your port are done for you. Up to three domains per server, on every bot plan. Set it up
  • Billing and cancelling from inside the panel: a link above your server list and a Billing box on the Account page open the billing page (card, invoices, cancel) straight away, without the emailed link.

A bot server in the demo, and a getting-started checklist

  • The demo panel now has a Discord bot server as well as the Minecraft one, so you can open the Console, Crashes, Logs, Bot settings and Deploys tabs on a real bot before you buy.
  • A new bot server shows a short Getting started line above its console: token, code, running, invited to your Discord server. Each step ticks itself, and the line goes away for good once the bot is set up. Hide puts it away sooner.
  • Bot servers look up addresses through our own DNS cache first, so a public DNS outage like the one on 28 September no longer stops a bot finding Discord. Each server switches over at its next restart.

Deploy on push, a crash history, and bot settings in the panel

  • Deploy on push: turn it on in the new Deploys tab and add the address it gives you to your GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket repository as a webhook. Every push to your bot's branch restarts it on the new code; pushes to other branches are ignored, and the tab lists what each push did. Set it up
  • A Crashes tab lists the last 25 times a bot stopped on its own: when, the exit code or out of memory, how long it had been running, and the last lines it printed. It also shows the memory in use and warns when it gets close to your plan's limit. More
  • A Bot settings tab edits each bot's .env as a form. Tokens and passwords stay hidden, and saving can restart just the bot you changed while the others keep running. More
  • Check the token, on the same tab, asks Discord whether a bot's token works and which privileged intents are switched on for it, before you start anything. Token problems
  • Every server can have up to five ports, free. Add them on the Network tab, for a dashboard, a webhook receiver or a second bot's web page. More than one port
  • If a Bot library bot needs another Python or Node.js version than your server has, the Bot library now switches it for you in one click.
  • The Crashes tab also shows a week of uptime, hour by hour, and each bot's memory when several run on one server.
  • A status badge for your bot's README or bot-list page, saying whether it is online and how much of the week it was. Off until you turn it on. How
  • Crash alerts are followed by a short back up message once the bot has recovered.
  • Deploys shows which commit each bot is running, and a push for one bot in bots updates only that bot while the others keep running (bots update NAME in the console does the same). A push that is followed by a crash within minutes says so, with the reason.
  • Node.js 20 is no longer offered for new servers: its security fixes ended in April. Servers already on it keep running, and the console says how to switch.
  • With a crash alert webhook set, each deploy from Git also posts a short Deployed message with the commit, so your channel shows what went live.
  • On a server running several bots, the Crashes tab has Start, Stop, Restart and Update buttons for each bot, so you no longer need to type bots restart NAME. More
  • Bot settings lists what a bot's .env.example asks for that its .env does not have yet, with the example's own comments, one click to add each. The console names them at start too. More
  • The Crashes tab draws the last 24 hours of memory and says when it has been climbing for hours without a restart, the usual sign of a leak, before the bot is stopped out of memory. More
  • A Logs tab reads back everything your bots printed, even after the console has moved on: one bot or all, searchable, Discord tokens hidden. More
  • Your referral link is at the top of the panel's server list, ready to copy.
  • New console hints for MySQL on localhost, a locked SQLite file, a Node bot stopped by an uncaught Missing Permissions error, a file called discord.py hiding the library, Pycord code on discord.py, discord.js without intents, and cogs from old discord.py tutorials that never load.

Try the panel first, add mods in one click, and a new console

  • A demo panel at demo.snowservers.com: a real server you can look around before you buy anything. It signs you in by itself, so you stay signed in to your own account, and it is read-only, so nothing you press can break it. Try it
  • A Mods & plugins tab: search Modrinth for plugins (Paper, Purpur) or mods (Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, modpacks) that fit your server's version, and add one along with anything it needs.
  • The console page has a new look: beside the console are your address (click to copy), uptime and player count, and memory, CPU and disk, with a bar showing how much of your plan is in use.
  • The side menu is grouped under Minecraft, Files and data, Setup and People, so tabs are easier to find.
  • The panel now uses the same fonts as the website.

A database, several bots per plan, and ready-made bots

  • Every plan now includes a MySQL database of up to 1 GB, on the same machine as your server. Make it on the Databases tab; a copy is saved into your files every night so your backups carry it. Using your database
  • Run several bots on one plan: a folder each in bots, their own tokens, packages and restarts, and console commands to manage them one at a time. How it works
  • A Bot library tab with open-source bots ready to set up: Discord Tickets, Modmail and Red. Fill in the token, press add, and it installs on the next restart. What is on the list
  • Minecraft plans get the database too, for plugins such as LuckPerms, shared across a plan's sub-servers.
  • Installing a large set of packages on a 1 GB plan no longer runs out of memory halfway with nothing said about it.

JavaScript and Java bots, deploys from GitHub, and crash alerts

  • Discord bots can run on Node.js 20, 22 or 24 as well as Python. Pick JavaScript at checkout, or switch an existing server under Startup. JavaScript bots
  • Java bots too: upload a runnable jar (JDA and friends) and pick Java 17, 21 or 25. Java bots
  • Deploy from GitHub, GitLab, Codeberg or Bitbucket: paste the repository link, and every restart pulls your newest commits. Private repositories work with a read-only token. How it works
  • Crash alerts: give us a Discord webhook and get a message with the reason when your bot stops on its own. Set it up
  • If your bot stops on its own and stays down for three hours, we email you once with the reason.
  • When a bot crashes for a common reason (a rejected token, a missing package, intents switched off, out of memory), the console now says so in plain words.
  • New Python and JavaScript servers come with a small starter bot that answers /ping, so you can check your token works before uploading anything.
  • Your bot's console output is saved with timestamps in .snowservers/logs, so you can read what happened while you were away.
  • Python 3.13 and 3.14 added. Packages are only reinstalled when requirements.txt or package.json changes, so restarts are quicker.
  • Change plan yourself: the billing email now has a link to move to a bigger or smaller plan, or another billing period. You see what is due before confirming, and the server is resized straight away. How it works

  • A new checkout page: choose the plan, billing period, free trial and server name, and see the exact price before paying.
  • Referrals: a friend gets the first-month discount and then 20% off two more months, and you get $3 of credit once they have paid.
  • Docs on using SnowServers, from your first bot to backups and billing, and more guides.
  • The website downloads about half as much and no longer stutters on computers without graphics acceleration. The snow is lighter, with a switch in the footer.
  • If your bot still is not running a day after you buy, we email you the steps.
